Tree Silhouettes

Fourth Grade Art Club

Fourth grade art club students created some very cool silhouette acrylic paintings. The assignment was to have a glowing moon or sun and a tree silhouette.  Students could make any kind of tree and add other subjects to their paintings.  As you can see, there are quite a diverse selection of subject matter and color choices.

These three added deer to their paintings.
This selection shows the diversity - A horse running towards a tree, a lone tree and a spooky graveyard painting.

Fall is in the Air!

In celebration of Fall, First Grade Artists created close up and far away Scarecrows. The focus of our lesson was drawing up close and far away pictures of the same scarecrow. First graders used crayon resist with markers to add color and texture to their drawings. Crayon resist is one of our favorite techniques in art class.  Ask your first grader about "magic white."  Below are just some of the scarecrows on display in the TTE Town Square.

Thank You!

Thank you so much for all of your support during the emergency involving my father. We almost lost him a couple of times, but he is home now and on the long road to recovery. He is still not ready for rehab yet, but hopefully soon.  Thanks again for all of your thoughts and prayers!!!

Beautiful flowers from TTEA!
