Soap Carvings
Fourth Grade Art Club created used the reductive sculpture technique to create these soap sculptures.
Each student started with a bar of Ivory soap. They drew out their idea from different angles. They cut out their idea and traced it on the soap. Using carving tools, students carefully shaved off sections of soap until they reached their desired shape. Wooden smoothing tools were used to smooth out the carved soap.
