Showcase Night in the Art Room

Showcase night was Wednesday, January 22.  We had a full house in the art room where students taught their parents what they have been learning in art class.  The parents had to create a piece of art with their children guiding them. Favorite former students also dropped by to say hello!  It was a fun night.

National Arts Program Art Show

Four Timber Trail students participated in this years National Art Program's Art Show.  

Two of our Timberwolves won awards.  Anna Web won First Place for her wire fish and Logan won Third Place for his Op-Art Drawing.  Click here for a link to the story about our talented artists in this fantastic art show in the Castle Pines Connection.

Sugar Skulls

After studying the Mexican tradition of Dia de los Muertos, third grade artists created their own sugar skull in remembrance of someone (loved on, friend, ancestor or pet) who has passed.  Each student created their own sugar skull using their own as well as traditional Mexican symbolism.  Every sugar skull was accompanied by a written piece explaining who it was created to remember.

These will be on display in TTE Town Square through Showcase Night in January. 

Painted Rocks

Timber Trail Art Club students designed and painted rocks to decorate the area out front of our school.  Students came up with their own designs and used acrylic paint to paint their rock. Then they placed them around the front of Timber Trail.  Check out their beautiful creations that brighten our entryway! 

Art Club Paintings

Art Club students finished their acrylic paintings.  They will be on display rotation in the TTE Town Square. Stop by to see what the marvelous masterpieces look like in person!
